Riyadh breaking news

Israeli military units with vehicles moved into several villages in the Quneitra area, in southern Syria. They did ground searches. Set up temporary checkpoints. The military activity is increasing near the border area.

Local reports confirmed that an Israeli force comprising military vehicles entered the village of Breqa (Bariqa) in the Quneitra province, raiding residential properties and carrying out field searches before withdrawing toward border positions. Concurrently, additional ground units accompanied by military vehicles infiltrated the town of Taranga in northern Quneitra, backed by heavy reconnaissance and fighter aircraft activity over adjacent areas of the Yarmouk Basin and Daraa governorate.

The ground movement follows a series of artillery strikes targeting agricultural lands and village perimeters near Al-Samdaniya Al-Sharqiya and Al-Rafid. Israeli forces have stepped up search operations, engineering land-clearing activities, and localized incursions across southern Syria.

Tel Aviv asserts that its forward military presence and buffer-zone operations aim to prevent strategic security threats and weapons smuggling along the Golan Heights perimeter. Syrian officials and regional observers emphasize that the ongoing incursions complicate regional security negotiations and violate established disengagement agreements. Arab News TV
