Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, has presented a copy of his credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Angola.
During an official reception in Luanda, Al Rahbi submitted the credentials to João Baptista da Costa, Secretary-General of the Angolan Ministry of External Relations. The Angolan official welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in his diplomatic mandate while reaffirming Luanda’s commitment to expanding economic, trade, and bilateral cooperation with Muscat.
For his part, Al Rahbi expressed pride in representing Oman and highlighted the growing momentum in Omani-Angolan relations. The ambassador noted that both nations possess significant economic potential and strategic maritime geography, offering promising opportunities for joint investments across maritime logistics, energy, and food security sectors.
With this appointment, Al Rahbi’s diplomatic jurisdiction extends to four African nations—Egypt, Djibouti, Eritrea, and Angola managed from the Omani embassy in Cairo. The credential presentation comes as Muscat actively deepens diplomatic and economic partnerships across the African continent. Arab News TV
