The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced the retail prices for petrol and diesel for August 2026, with motorists set to pay higher rates for all fuel grades from August 1 following the latest monthly review.
Under the revised pricing, Super 98 petrol will cost AED 3.60 per litre, Special 95 will be priced at AED 3.49 per litre, while E-Plus 91 will retail at AED 3.41 per litre. Diesel has also been increased to AED 3.80 per litre. The updated rates reflect adjustments in line with movements in global energy markets and will apply across fuel stations nationwide.
Compared with July, motorists will see a 20 fils per litre increase across all petrol grades as well as diesel. Last month’s prices stood at AED 3.40 for Super 98, AED 3.29 for Special 95, AED 3.21 for E-Plus 91 and AED 3.60 for diesel.
The UAE reviews retail fuel prices at the end of every month through the Fuel Price Committee, with adjustments linked to trends in international oil markets. The pricing mechanism, introduced in 2015, allows domestic fuel prices to fluctuate in response to global crude oil movements while maintaining a transparent monthly review process.
The latest increase follows a decline in fuel prices during July and comes as international energy markets continue to experience price volatility driven by changes in crude oil supply, geopolitical developments and global demand. While the monthly adjustments directly affect transport and operating costs for businesses and consumers, the UAE’s pricing framework is designed to reflect prevailing market conditions.
The revised fuel prices will take effect from Friday, August 1, and will be implemented at service stations across the UAE, including those operated by ADNOC Distribution, ENOC and Emarat. Motorists are expected to see the updated rates displayed at fuel stations from the start of the new month.
